3 April 2007 - Ukrainian confectionery products maker Konti is planning to invest 300 million roubles (8.65 mln euro) over the next three years in order to upscale its Russian factory located in Kursk, according to the local media.
Konti has invested a total 278 million roubles (8.02 mln euro) in the Russian facility since it took over the site in 2004, add the media reports.
The Kursk plant reportedly produced 52,000 tons of confectionery. Konti’s total output in 2006 amounted to 184,000 tons.
Besides the Kursk facility in Russia, Konti, formerly known as Kiev-Konti, also owns three plants in Ukraine, in the Donetsk, Konstantinovsk and Gorlovsk regions.
