South Africa: Disposal of Dairybelle Business by Tiger Brands

20 April 2007 - On 21 February 2007 Tiger Brands announced that an agreement had been concluded, in terms of which the Dairy business conducted under the name of DairyBelle, would be sold to a consortium of investors which was envisaged to include the management and staff of DairyBelle.

The transaction was conditional inter alia upon regulatory approvals. The Competition Tribunal unconditionally approved the proposed transaction on 18 April 2007. All conditions precedent in respect of the agreement have now been fulfilled.

The effective date of the transaction will be 28 April 2007.
