3 May 2007 - German brewer Warsteiner could soon be entering the Croatian market. According to the Croatian press, this may happen in a month or two. The brewer may possibly acquire a stake in local beer maker, Daruvarska pivovara.
Warsteiner has been negotiating the acquisition of the Daruvar-based brewery for the past couple of months and has also recently conducted a due diligence, add the press reports.
Warsteiner would probably acquire a 50% stake in Daruvarska pivovara, go on to say the reports.
According to the reports, Daruvarska pivovara holds a market share of 2.5%, with a production capacity of 260.000 hectolitres.
