The construction of the new unit will begin in late-2007 and is expected to lead to the creation of 60 new jobs.

In January 2007, Panavi bought a production site in Le Mans from rival Les Délices de la Tour, a CSM subsidiary, for about 15 million euro.

The company has recently stated that 40 new jobs will be created in September for its Le Mans site.

Also, in March 2007, FLEXNEWS reported that Panavi acquired Spanish frozen bakery firm Ohayo located in Moia, Barcelona for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 1985, Panavi has 9 production sites and 8 distribution centres, with a workforce of 900 employees.
