Belgian Frozen Food Firm Penguin Acquires British Frozen Vegetable Producer Padley

28 May 2007 - According to reports in the Belgian press, frozen foods company Pinguin is in talks to buy acquire British frozen vegetable producer Padley Vegetables Ltd.

The Belgian firm already has a British branch called Pinguin Foods UK, however the company is now seeking to strengthen its share of the English market. This operation could reportedly double the size of Pinguin Foods UK.

Meanwhile, Dutch logistics group Partner Logistics is building a packaged goods distribution warehouse at Ieper, Belgium. The new site is planned to be operational by March 2008, add the reports.
