3 July 2007 - French dairy firm Lactalis has acquired a majority stake in Czech company Moravskoslezske Mlekarny and its subsidiary Mlekarna Kunin, reports the local business press.
The acquisition, however, must still be approved by the Czech antitrust authorities.
In 2006, Mlekarna Kunin processed 100 million litres of milk and generated sales worth Kc 1.9 billion (about 66 million euro).
Yesterday, FLEXNEWS reported that Lactalis was ruled out of the takeover of French dairy producer Toury, despite its offer to raise its bid by 15 million euro.
The decision meant that the group of four companies led by Dischamp will acquire Toury.
