In the Matter of Certain Sucralose, Sweeteners Containing Sucralose, and Components Thereof (337-TA-604):

"JK Sucralose Inc. has filed a motion to intervene in the ITC investigation to defend its products and customers.  Tate & Lyle Technology Ltd. and Tate & Lyle Sucralose filed a complaint with the ITC alleging that certain sucralose manufacturers are infringing on its patents.  We believe that JK Sucralose Inc. must intervene in this matter to protect our customers in the United States and ensure the continuous supply of sucralose manufactured by JK Sucralose to the customers in North America.  Our manufacturing process for sucralose is based on our own intellectual property and does not infringe the patents asserted by Tate & Lyle in the ITC complaint. We will vigorously defend our company and our product.  We manufacture high-quality sucralose that is used as a general-purpose sweetener.  We stand behind our products and firmly believe that Tate & Lyle’s claims are without merit.  We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect others to do the same".
