Amsterdam, July 9 - Trading in shares of Dutch food group Numico NV were suspended for trading on Monday in anticipation of a statement by Numico, Dutch market regulator AFM said.
AFM confirmed a statement by a Euronext spokesman, who said the shares had been suspended after a request by the AFM.
Shares in Dutch food group Numico NV rose more than 11 percent to reach a six-year high prior to the suspension, as traders cited market talk of interest in the company by French food group Danone.
