The company has temporarily shut its two production lines.

The two facilities also produce lysine and monosodium glutamate (MSG).

The closures should not hinder the company’s profit, BBCA said. The firm added that other lines were operating as normal.

Anhui BBCA Biochemical, part of BBCA Group, produces starch, citric acid, sweeteners and vitamin products for the food industry.
